"Word Searches for Dummies" was published in early May 2009. Inevitably, the first printing includes a smattering of errors, which snuck past the eagle eyes of all the editors and myself.
There are a few minor formatting and text issues, but the ones listed below are the more important factual errors to notice. All mistakes will be corrected in the first reprint. And if you spot anything else, please do let me know!
Puzzle 28 (pg 58) - The puzzle grid is an old version, sadly, and does not include COCOA or EXPENSIVE. You can download the correct puzzle grid here.
Puzzle 29 (pg 60) - The New York producer was David Belasco, not Belsaco.
Puzzle 33 (pg 68) - In the last paragraph, peace should be in bold - it's in the puzzle grid, waiting to be found!
Puzzle 37 (pg 76) - Spooner was born in London, and worked at Oxford University which is - funnily enough - in Oxford, not London!
Puzzle 38 (pg 78) - Ironically, mispeld tixt is misspelt! It should be mislped tixt.
Puzzle 169 (pg 262) - An old version of the puzzle grid made it in, unfortunately, so while the word list and answer grid are correct, the puzzle grid isn't. The puzzle mostly works, but the word FIG is not in the puzzle grid. You can download the correct puzzle grid here.
Hint for Puzzle 5 (pg 294) - There are five words running vertically, not four.
Hint for Puzzle 145 (pg 301) - The answer to number 6 is CERN, not number 7.
Hint for Puzzle 158 : TOURTIÉRE is the correct spelling (not TOURTIÉR).
